This show was set to start from the Summer of 2015, which it actually started broadcasting in July of 2015. The main character and protagonist is a boy called Ushioup until today he's just been a regular boy who goes to school daily. His family was entrusted with protecting a sacred temple, to which his dad guards now.

What he sees shocks himthere is a tiger-like orange creature that's been impaled by some kind of spear. The monster, actually Youkai, which was known as Nagatobimaru, is that monster. His name was used to spread fear one of the planet because his savagery was matched with no man or creature. Nagatobimaru asks Ushio to take out the spear that's been holding him captive there, but also claims he will devour Ushio the minute he's free of charge, so he does not get quite far. After moving back and forth, and finding out there is an oncoming danger of Youkai as a result of atmosphere which Nagatobimaru places off, Ushio makes the decision to publish him.

Nagatobimaru likely would of devoured him then and there, however, he did not plan on Ushio becoming a very particular individual. He's an ancestor of the one who struggled Nagatobimaru years ahead, so he could wield the powerful spear referred to as the Beast Spear. Ushio transforms into a robust and speedy warrior whenever he wants to fight the spear. Actually, the one thing you see otherwise is that he gets some mad long hair. After, marginally, settling their differences, they can come together to repel the Youkai assault. It is now that Nagatobimaru says he will haunt Ushio before the day that he could devour him. In addition, this is when Ushio titles the monster Tora, which will be great because after we find out that he really detests the title Nagatobimaru.

Ushio and Tora need to confront the coming waves of Youkai, more powerful than others. Ushio also begins on a trip to learn the facts about his mom, and finally, where to locate and kill a strong Youkai called Hakumen no Mono. Hakumen no Mono is a Youkai that ravaged the whole world in its own day, it required a mixture of Youkai and guy to seal it off. But, it seems that today it'll be a greater danger than ever.

I really quite enjoyed this anime, the older cartoon fashion and artwork actually took me back to when I was able to watch these types of shows as a kid. Ushio and Tora are equally intriguing main characters, much more Tora though. Tora's personality is intriguing since he's a frightening, strong Youkai, but has interested with small things like flying in a plane or eating a hamburger. You should definitely check out this one in the event that you're a lover of the older style.
